Thanks for wanting to know a little bit more about me. Below you’ll find a brief synopsis of my background and how I’ve got to where I am today.
I’ve been in the marketing industry since 2000, working for FMCG retail brands like Comet, Staples, and Wyevale before launching my own small business in 2011.
For the past decade, I've loved being a general freelance marketing manager offering ad-hoc marketing management for a whole host of businesses in a range of industries.

I’ve worked on marketing plans, created and implemented marketing activity schedules, and have been on hand to offer my marketing expertise as and when required.
​
But more recently after creating my own Wix site I’ve found myself being consistently asked to do the same for other small businesses. I’ve discovered it’s something I really enjoy and I’m good at it too.
Entering my second decade of business in 2022, it occurred to me that I was spending the majority of my time on just three aspects of marketing, and they were the three that I most enjoyed!
So after what can only be described as one of those light bulb moments I made the decision to niche down and focus specifically on those core services - Wix Websites, Website updates and Marketing Materials.
So with a revamped logo and site redesign ready for the next phase in my marketing career, I redeveloped Base North Marketing.

I’m excited to be able to offer start-ups, sole traders, and small businesses the support they need to develop a strong marketing presence using the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the past 20 years.
